Quick transition between sections of the VKontakte application how does it work?

In many applications, I observed a lightning-fast transition between sections, an example of this is the VKontakte application. In the bottom menu, is it pages or tabs? Or is it the same in ivi, you can very quickly switch between sections (profile, search, feed) - how does it work?

I think it's done in fragments. With loaded some elements. Everything else is loading.
