Question on Microsoft Word, how to open?
Installed Windows 7 Home with MS Office 2007. The question is WORD specific. If we open the WORD application and then navigate to the file, the file opens fine. Otherwise, we move to a file, we get an error message ... "There was a problem sending the request in the program." I've already looked online for some answers and tried 3 different solutions, but to no avail. I did a repair via cd office and it didn't fix the problem.
Here's one observation: if we navigate to an Excel file, the file will be opened "directly" without any problems. In Excel, the files are in the same folder as the Word files. If we try to open a Word file, we will get a USER ACCOUNT CONTROL window and then an error message. The USER ACCOUNT CONTROL window is not displayed when opening an Excel file.
If you look at the Control Panel and Default Programs with .docx and .doc extensions, all extensions are properly installed and Microsoft Office 2007 Word will open.
Any ideas on how to solve this? I thought about restarting WORD, but I honestly don't think it's an application issue. I believe that this will turn out to be related to the problem of the program.
