Is it possible somehow in MODX to make sure that the article is not displayed in any category, but the link would be available?

Just exclude the required resources from the output.
For getResources, this is the resource number with a minus sign: resources=`-1`
The list of resources can be formed both by tv and by a snippet.

If in getResources showHidden=0, then for such resources you can set the checkbox "Do not show in the menu."
