Query to MS SQL database from Excel - which driver to use?

Hello!
There is Azure MS SQL Database (one table 103 columns x 2.7 million rows). You need to contact it for selections from MS Excel 2010 x32.
Questions:
1 - which driver is better to use - there are many options in DataConnections (SQL Server/NativeClient/ODBC/...).
What is more correct (faster / more reliable / less demanding) to access the database?
2 - Excel x32 can't handle more than 2 million rows. Would creating indexes help overcome this limitation?
Most often, as a result of a query, you need to get no more than 1/10 rows. No more than 5 columns can participate in queries as filters (typical, I think - date / product / price / city / seller)
