QML Live Preview. Alternative?

Hello.
A long time ago, Qt Creator had a very interesting feature called Qt Live Preview. It allowed building applications on Qt 4.7 and 4.8 for mobile platforms, and then launching and testing interfaces in real time.
There is even an article about this on Habré: habrahabr.ru/post/142090

The main thing that I don't understand is why they sawed out such a large piece of useful functionality? And what to do now. where to find an alternative?
