"Python experience is plus" in Senior C++ Developer vacancies and similar. What is it connected with?

Hello. Quite often I come across a phrase from a subject in a resume. With what it can be connected? What kind of knowledge of Python is implied in this case? Obviously, not web development, since there is no word about it and the vacancy is not related to this.

Some small tools are often written in python for the internal needs of the company. Perhaps this is precisely the reason. In general, you can come to an interview and ask why they need a python :-)

Python has recently been considered one of the most versatile languages for automating everything.
It can be used to write simple scripts for generating release notes, something intermediate for deploying or processing logs, in general, a bunch of automation of all sorts of garbage.
Testing though.
It has a lot of integration available out of the box for working with jira / jenkins / tc and api in general, so they often add all sorts of things.

In my opinion, this is due to the fact that now there is a tendency to migrate to Python in terms of high-level projects that do not require a large load (although Python can be adapted for HL). For example, the same sites, services, build utilities, etc.
