Python, django... can you help me sort out the mess in my head?
Dear specialists, there are so many incomprehensible things that we need solid and knowledgeable advice.
I'm a front-end developer, familiar with php, but really want to learn Python. That being said, everyone is buzzing about the django framework. And I'm already at a loss how and when, and most importantly, what to start learning.
I'm still a complete zero in python. Advise a simple way from the "noob", to the level of "something I really can."
What books and video tutorials, as well as must-have sites, would you recommend? I know this is already a 100% similar topic, but still, I hope you tell me:

I advise you to learn Python 3.4 / 3.5 and Django 1.8 (LTS) / 1.9 (latest stable version)
OOP will come in handy, incl. multiple inheritance + decorators + knowledge of how the import system works. Otherwise, you can fill the cones.
How to teach depends on the level of knowledge of English.
If everything is in order with him, then the direct road to the official sites of python and django for documentation. For beginners, there are tutorials, you can perfectly roll into them.
If English is bad, then djbook.ru has a translation of the Django documentation.
I also recommend Django girls tutorial (in Russian) . Despite the focus on girls, a very good thing.
From the must have books: on Python - Summerfield (there is in Russian, it's not bad to learn the language from it). Framework - Two Scoops of Django. Well, Perfect code, of course.
If it's still relevant. We have both Python and Django
on Devman's course .
You can start the Python module right away, since you already have basic knowledge of syntax. And it's free. Feel the courses, you will recognize the teachers. And you can now subscribe to Django. Just in time for release, you will have a solid foundation from the free module. Well, or look at something else from our topics, everything is just “in business” and working.
