Proxmox VE, installing from the official image and partitioning the disk during installation, how to set the correct disk sizes?

You need to install proxmox ve on the server and correctly partition the disk during installation.

I have a 240gb disk, defined as 223(hdsize) in the window in the picture.
I do swap 8gb. This is the simplest. The rest I need to do for snapshots (not much) and the largest partition for storing installation images and for creating virtual machines.
As I did not break, I get for VMs and snapshots in the region of 50GB and in the region of ~ 150GB, who the hell knows what.
There are literally a couple of guides on the Internet, which, unfortunately, I did not understand. Even what they write on the off site is not clear to me.

As far as we know, the Proxmox installer partitions the disk using LVM, so you can manually resize the partitions after installation. It can be assumed that LVM is used by default just so that you can use snapshots right away.
For the hypervisor, swap is not a mandatory requirement, you can opt out of it.
It is better to store the boot partition and virtual machines on different physical disks.

And why on ssd to store backups and distributions.
You need a separate large disk.
Those. we put the system on the ssd, the partition type is automatic.
The rest, larger drives are connected to the proxmox web face.
The best option, first practice on a virtual box (virtual box)

What kind of crap are you talking about, why the hell do you break it at all?
Just make one partition, swap like all normal people into a file, not a partition.
And you will have one common place that you can use even for snapshots, even for vm, even for images
