Projection/laser indicator?

In general, a brilliant idea arose how to make another unnecessary device. Its main part is a certain indicator, which is projected onto the ceiling. For example, a matrix of narrowly directed LEDs or lasers, which allows you to display an arbitrary image of at least 16x16px on the ceiling. At a minimum, this is 1 color and 2 pixel states - on and off. To the maximum it is RGB LEDs + brightness for each.
Moreover, it is important that these are precisely luminous dots on an empty ceiling, and not black dots on an illuminated rectangle (for example, what will happen if a lamp shines through a monochrome LCD screen)
Are there any ready-made solutions for the problem so as not to collect a matrix of laser pointers?

Laser projectors are built according to the scheme with one (or three - RGB) lasers and mechanical scanning. For a raster image, these are rotating prisms, and for a vector image (it looks much cooler) - electromagnetically deflected mirrors. You can see how it all works, and at the same time evaluate the degree of straightness required for assembly, here . Ready-made solutions cost a lot of money.
You can not bother with lasers, but take a matrix of super-bright LEDs and a lens for focusing. You can see well in a shaded room. The main possible rake:
- to achieve a square, not a round pixel,
- tightly, without gaps, pack the LEDs into a matrix,
- illumination of neighboring pixels due to side radiation,
- three colors in RGB LEDs are emitted from slightly different points.

I’m also thinking about a similar thing, but so far I’ve settled not on projectors, but on a transparent luminous OLED display.
