Program autoload not working?

There is a simple VBS script that adds a key to the registry in the ...\CurrentVersion\Run branch and creates a shortcut to the application that you want to run in the startup folder. All the paths are correct, I checked everything several times, but the startup of the application I need (which is also a script compiled into .exe) does not start. Everything works fine in manual mode.
.exe is launched "secretly", that is, only the process is shown, but when the computer is restarted, it is not there either.
What could be the problem?

And when you run the script yourself, does the UAC message appear that you need admin rights to run the application? Could this be the issue?
+ and just in the "Startup" folder (not through the registry), you tried it, does it work or not?
