Problems with usb HDD after installing RaspBMC?

We have a Raspberrypi Pi. I installed the RaspBMC image on the SD card, inserted it, powered it up, downloaded it from the Internet, unpacked it, but forgot to turn off the external usb HDD.
The original file system is NTFS.
As a result, I still did not fully understand the reasons for what happened, and most importantly, without warning, I reformatted 1 TB of data on the HDD into a linux partition. There is a small section of 122 MB, the rest is like unallocated space.
What are the chances of getting the data back? And most importantly, how to do it painlessly in Kyiv?! There was a small archive of photos (((

Apparently, it "did not touch" the unallocated space, the wagon for NTFS utilities and the small cart. Accordingly, everything that happens to be above 122MB will be restored with a high chance

The issue is the value of the data. Worn out cannot be restored, but if something happens - do not skimp on professionals, at least they will not kill

To search and restore photos in RAW format, there is also a free www.cgsecurity.org/wiki/PhotoRec , if R-Studio fails, you can try.

I hope that overwritten about 120 MB.
In the meantime, I set R-Studio to scan the disk, forcibly specifying the original file system - NTFS.
If it finds something, tomorrow you need to look for a backup disk of 1 TB according to your friends.
What other suggestions?

Well, in theory, R-Studio only reads data ... it is unlikely that it writes something.
The loss of 120 MB is a few dozen photos in RAW, I think I will survive ... It is more
important to restore the rest.
Thanks for the advice at this late hour.

Thanks for the advice folks!
In my case, R-Studio was enough, but I had to force it to specify the original file system - NTFS.
I think that I will recover almost 99% of the information. The answer will be in 16 hours.
True, I had to buy an external screw, I took 2 times more WD Elements Desktop 2 TB Hard Drives (WDBAAU0020HBK). Then I'll hang it on my home router)

Please tell me - I installed RaspBMC, inserted a USB HDD (with music), it was mounted in / media /. How can I add this to the library?
