Problem with relative links in windows 7, how to solve this problem?
Hello! Recently, in a computer with windows 7, I discovered the following problem: there is a folder inside which is an html file and another folder with the car.jpg image. An image is inserted into the html document, img src="car.jpg", when this file is opened in chrome, the image does not appear, but when the full path of the file is specified img src="C:\Users\...\car.jpg everything works. It all started recently, it used to work with a relative path.Maybe the problem is in the computer?

The problem is that the link does not specify the folder in which the picture is attached.
For img src="car.jpg" the image must be in the same folder as the html file.
and it is correct that links are not saved with the full path, but with a relative one.
when transferring html AND corresponding files to any other place, there will be no need to change something in HTML.
so that there are no problems in the future, you just need to either zip all the related files or put them in your individual folder so that the "components" of the page are not lost. And it will be possible to store the page anywhere, even on a computer, even on a flash drive, even on a cloud.
