Problem with ps/2 pointing device in Ubuntu 10.04

In Ubuntu 10.04, the built-in joystick that controls the cursor does not work in Samsung Q1 Ultra Premium.
On Windows it shows up as a ps/2 device in device manager.
Everything works fine on the Q1 Ultra.
Both devices are available. In what direction to dig?

Q1 Ultra and Q1 Ultra Premium have the same joystick?
Give the output of commands from both devices.
