Problem with android studio pictures?

Hello, I hope only for you. The problem is that in the project that I am doing, supernatural things have begun to be noticed right away (I can’t call them otherwise). I insert a picture in the project, which has been in the drawable folder for a long time - everything is fine. I insert the new one that I put a few minutes ago in the same folder - the application gives an error from the phone when I test it. With old pictures everything is fine, with new ones - such a disaster. All downloaded from the same resource, with the same resolution and almost the same weight.
Now I even tried to just copy the old picture that worked, rename it and paste it back - it also stopped working, for one thing its old version stopped fussing.
I have a lot of pictures (30+) in drawable, maybe this is related to this folder itself or the program as a whole. Or maybe I'm stupid and don't see something.
I repeat, the old pictures, already used - everything works without problems, with the new ones - it just gives me an error when I go to the application page where this picture is.
Perhaps someone came across such supernatural activity, rummaged through everything, found nothing.
Thanks for the help.

@steve_fahrenheit

In general, the problem was in the RAM of the device itself. I changed the pictures in size 2 times smaller and it helped.
