Problem installing template on Magento

I'm trying to figure out on my own with a new system for me - Magento.
Magento is already installed, but there is a problem with Template connection. The essence of the problem. The app, media and skin folders were copied from the archive with the theme, and the appropriate settings were made in the admin panel. There is also a .psd file, but it's not clear to me what to do with it.



The description does not indicate exactly where it should be copied or how to register. After updating the cache, the start page of the site has changed, but the site clearly does not see the .psd. This is how the page should look like:

The main question is how to fix it?

It has nothing to do with Magento PSD.
You need a PSD so that when you need additional functionality, you can give it to the designer and he will finalize everything that is needed.
Perhaps your template is too old, which needs to be finalized for the current version of the engine, it is still possible that this is how it should be, but you have not created all the necessary pages and static blocks, categories.
Sometimes a database dump is also included with the template.

It's ok, I found the solution. The problem was in the WYSIWYG Editor parameter (you just had to turn it off) - it was because of it that the prescribed markup was not visible.
The .psd file turned out to be not to blame, but I already sinned against it =)
PS: by the way, the database is still empty. Even test ones do not need to be uploaded, now you can move on. Thank you all for your help)

Usually, the theme comes with demo data in the form of a sql dump, just the already configured main one and a bunch of static blocks used in a predefined layout.

The template is exactly to this topic. There is definitely no incompatibility.
The base dam was not included.

No, there was no dump. They offered to buy it separately, costing as much as the whole skin in my opinion)
Now the theme is installed and working. Now another thing on the agenda is to properly tweak all the blocks, organize the categories, etc.
