Principles of home library cataloging?
I want to structure a library of books on an external hard drive. The attachment will be /century/author/book, there will also be different options for book covers and photographs of the author. In the future, I plan to make a DB based on this storage, and my question is: is it better to store the photos of the book and the author in the same folder with the corresponding book or make separate branches for them in the root of the disk

It is better to store all unified entities in their folders.
All connections are through files in the root of the main folder. (each file is a future link table)
