Can someone explain why in Russia Lightroom costs from 6000r, and on the American site Adobe $149? Is this how they try to defeat piracy?

PS By the way, I didn’t manage to buy on an American website using a Russian bank card (they refused by mail), do you have experience of a successful purchase?

As Adobe support explains , it's because taxes and all: As stated, the cost of doing business in the rest of the world is higher than in North America.
Yes, yes, and Photoshop for Russia costs not 699, but 100 bucks more expensive. I was also surprised and indignant when I bought it. In some countries (uk, au) these markups are even higher.
I suspect that in order to buy on the American site, you need to change the country in your account, go through vpn and pay with an American credit card, theoretically this should not be a problem.
