Preparation plan for admission to Yandex ShAD?
Hello,
has anyone been involved in the preparation. What would a sample program and timeline look like? It is clear that everyone has a different level, etc., etc. But for a person with an average and lower level of knowledge of mathematics. Where to start how to move, no matter what the luggage is, in any case, the roadmap is the same, just someone is going faster.
The exam to the School of Data Analysis is a good test of knowledge, so I start from it.

Algorithms. A bit of Olympiad programming is VERY helpful. Algorithms there offer simple, but very non-trivial, you need to feel how to solve the problem. Elements of complexity of algorithms. Two tasks out of eight are guaranteed to be.
Algebra and discrete mathematics. The first course, all in a crowd, without evidence. Linear equations, quadratic forms, matrices, eigenvectors, Jordan form, permutations, graphs, set theory, combinatorics, logic algebra…
Integrals (not too “evil”, but the techniques “substitution”, “by parts” and “trigonometric integral” are still worth mastering). An integral of medium complexity is a regular visitor to SADý. There may be another task from mutantanalysis - but this is how lucky and the task will be guaranteed to be non-trivial, but solved on “what you remember from the institute” - differentiation, Taylor series, the basics of topology, the simplest limits, L'Hopital's rule. Remember how the simplest double integrals are taken, you can get caught, for example, in probability theory.
FKP. The very beginning. There will definitely not be analytic functions and Laurent series. But the fact that in a complex field a polynomial of the nth degree has n roots, you need to know.
Probability Theory. Continuous and discrete probabilities. Something simple, almost at the level of dice and cards, but one or two out of eight will. Although statistics are an important part of the SDA, they are not required on the exam. And there will be no hell like white noise and Ito integrals. Although something like a discrete Markov chain - what if, although there were no three exams familiar to me.
School Olympiad problems. One is possible.
Total.
Two are algorithms.
One or two is a possibility.
One is an integral.
Two or three - anything from school mathematics, discrete mathematics, mathematical analysis, algebra, FKP ...
PS Very good trick that helped me. Of course, you will have to keep a scan of some reference book or a Wikipedia printout (this is not forbidden, but electronics are prohibited - however, the tasks do not require a calculator). Print on one side, the other on draft!

answer : Yandex posted exact tasks on Habré, you can see them for an example: One , two , three , and on the ShAD website itself there is a point about preparation.
I advise you to look through and try to decide for yourself what does not work - immediately organize an educational program on this topic. Read all the reviews, as well as the literature that is advised in the comments (to the posts and Yandex itself).
you just need to learn and study mathematics, at all its levels, from analysis, algebra, probabilities to various logics and thinking. it is the basis of data analysis
I will supplement the answers of previous commentators:
It is worth looking for various courses on the course or YouTube. ShAD itself has most of the lectures in the public domain - you can use them. Watch the lectures of the FCS HSE on the subjects listed above. If you understand that it is quite difficult, it is better to contact tutors or courses. Among those standing, I will note the shad helper, created by the students of FKN. But, the main rule is to do a lot of mathematics, perhaps all that is described above, and you will definitely enter the shad.
