1. Question on the first photo: why is the formula for calculating the branches of predicates 2^n and not 2*n, because the number of paths is exactly twice as large?

why the formula for calculating branches of predicates is 2^n and not 2*n, because the number of paths is exactly twice as large

The number of paths is doubled on each predicate.
2. According to the second photo: why is the uppermost path when the branches diverged into Truth and Falsehood, did the False go into Truth?

Obvious error in the picture.
