Postix delayed delivery

An interesting, rare, yet stupid situation happened.

There is Windows SBS 2003 + Exchange. Falls once in a hundred years, but it happens.
In front of it is postfix sticking out. It never seems to fall.

When the postfix receives a letter, it looks at the email addresses available in AD, and if there is one, it forwards it to the exchange. If not, it rejects.

Dropped SBS, lay all weekend. All weekend Postfix fought off all letters - because it could not check the addressee.

I want that in case of failure of SBS Postfix began to accept all letters if the relay is not available. That is, I postponed the procedure of validation and forwarding, adding up all the letters at my place until better days.

Ok, what's next.
The address is validated, relayhost is still lying. Postfix will wait until it rises?
