Porting from Perl to C#, how to get into perl quickly?

Good day.
I found myself extra problems in the form of porting a program written in Perl to C #.
You can look at the program at this link , where the code will immediately open.
It is possible, of course, to write this code from scratch in c # will be easier and faster. But somehow it doesn't quite work out. And this one works perfectly!
Therefore, in fact the essence of the question : Advise what to read / see in order to delve into Perl and interpret this code in C #.

For the sake of one algorithm to learn Perl? Surely Sharpe (or some other, less read-only language) doesn't have a hundred implementations of every algorithm for generating labyrinths known to mankind? Wouldn't it be faster to read how such algorithms work and then write?
