Porting a Perl script from *nix to windows

Good evening!
There is one rather interesting project - JPGCrush - created specifically for JPEG optimization without quality loss, being in turn an add-on for JPEGTran . Creates JPEGs exclusively in Progressive format. The only downside is that it only works on *nix systems.

I wanted to ask if anyone can port JPGCrush to windows, I'm sure that many people will need this project.

JPEGTran - under windows there is, according to the link that you actually gave.
and JPGCrush - with a quick glance, it will work like that, it’s not necessary to port anything there
for windows - you may need activeperl, well, or a “native” pearl through cygwin, by the way, the jpegtran port can be there at the same time.

@AnViar

I once ported lightsquid to windows :)
Of course, I spent a lot of time, but there were no other difficulties.
