POP3/SMTP proxy

Given:
- there is a CRM system, the company's clients
are in CRM - managers are in CRM who can view information about customers and interact with them through direct letters and mailings

There is a task to hide the email addresses of clients from certain groups of managers, but the ability to send them letters and leave mailings.
It is difficult to do this using CRM tools, so the idea came up to associate with each user a non-existent address of the form <client id>@<domain> and send letters through a mail proxy that will be able to determine the real mailing address from the virtual one and forward letters further.

Has anyone worked with similar proxies? Can you recommend a specific application?
Maybe you know a more elegant solution to the problem?

@la0

I can recommend taking cpanel + its API for adding forwarders/filters.
This is a "head-to-head solution".
There are hardly any "boxes" with such functionality, but to be honest, I did not look.

A few years ago I used "Advanced Direct Remailer", it seems to fit your requirements.
