Platform for building dashboards?

In the IT department of our organization, there was a need to use dashboards to control and indicate key performance indicators within the department. Ideally, I would like to get a web application that will receive data from ms sql and display dashboards based on them in all modern browsers.
qlikview has the necessary functionality , but the price bites a lot.
Does anyone know a free or inexpensive alternative to this product?
And wouldn’t it be easier to write your own highly specialized solution (to select data for a third-party solution, you still need to write sql queries, all that remains is to display charts based on them, which is done using, for example, a js library like highcharts)?

Good afternoon, it so happened that now our small team is just creating a simple platform for monitoring business processes, the project has not been completed yet, but by visiting salesup.it you can understand and evaluate its goals and capabilities. I will be glad to consider options for refining to suit your needs and further joint testing at no charge.

look aside components
for example devexpress dashboards - buy for 1 c# developer and get for all business users. Almost finished application in the form of a component.
the possibilities are very wide, we use them in our products and
were pleased with their report on .NEXT
