Ping gives Unknown host, SSH works, what's the problem?

Maybe knowledgeable people on the subject will prompt? The site is lying, when pinging it gives out unknown hostt, I can go via SSH. I did not make any changes in the DNS, the hoster also says, your environment - figure it out for yourself.
I don’t know which way to look to determine the problem, I will be glad for any answers.

Most likely you have disabled icmp and therefore the ping does not work. Concerning the site lies - really, understand logs.

or
If the first option - then most likely you have a problem with the DNS. Maybe the site is not delegated, maybe the DNS is lying or unavailable.
If the second option, then most likely pings are prohibited by the firewall.
