Pi-hole. How to win ads on YouTube?
Good day!
Insanely tired of advertising in applications on android. I tried to solve the problem like this: on a raised VPS, I raised Openvpn plus the pi-hole project , where DNS ad filtering takes place. Everything worked, ads disappeared on twitch and other applications. Except youtube.
I found a similar solution on github , but it doesn't work for me.
Of course, buying a premium subscription for 200r is the most correct answer to my question, but I want to bring my bike to mind. I will be grateful for hints where to dig.
PS Attached an example of a log of a pichol when an advertisement pops up on a video. (pihole -t)
Do I understand correctly that commercials generate random subdomains like r5---sn-4g5e6nzs.googlevideo.com
which are constantly changing and being added, and because of this, kind people simply do not have time to create blacklists? If so, what are the principles for blocking ads in any adblocks / adguards?

YouTube delivers ads from the same addresses as the video, so blocking ads at the network level will not work, and pihole is powerless in this matter.
