PHP script running on the server?

Hello,
I have a php script that should be called on the server every certain time. Is there any other method besides Windows Task Scheduler?
PS Windows Server 2003

The only option I know of is a script with an infinite loop that checks the time, and performs the specified action if the time has come.

1. Find the software / startup script by time.
2. If php is constantly running, you can install Open Server, it has its own scheduler.
