Photoshop lags, prime pro on a powerful PC, how to remove lags?
Hello. lag and freeze Photoshop, Premier, and it’s not at all comfortable to manage a computer.
Specifications, i7 8700k at 4.5, GTX 1080, 40 gigabytes of RAM. I understand that it’s not the top PC of 2021, but still the hardware is not bad. What I did: I changed Windows 3 times, to different assemblies, versions of images, rearranged a bunch of different drivers, including taking down the drivers for the video card and putting them older, many times. Naturally, the driver for the chipset is worth it. I sinned on the RAM - I ran it with a test, checked each bar in turn in memtest86, there are no errors, latency 50-60. Also in Windows set the maximum performance mode. Disabled SysMain from services. Zero sense. Already mentally tired of suffering from this, there are no problems in games. But when working for a PC, Photoshop, Prime, After Effects, and even just in Explorer, there are performance drawdowns. I will be very grateful for your help.
UPD: Windows was on two different ssds, the problem is the same. Viruses are excluded, because I checked it with a web doctor a bunch of times, and I changed Windows to a "clean" one 3-4 times.
UPD2: The desktop also lags when moving the cursor, here is a video: https://youtu.be/IGplxy6GpYQ

And so, after thinking about it with my brain, I realized that this began after buying the AsRock PRO4 z390 motherboard.
Posherstiv sites, forums, a lot of advice was about disabling "energy saving in bios". This is in the "Advanced" section, further in the CPU configuration, there, like something with the letter "C", turn off all modes. I turned off what I found and know, the operation of the system is more cheerful, but still not perfect. I'm sure I haven't disabled a couple more items in the BIOS of this motherboard. But the improvements are noticeable, seriously. Insanely grateful to everyone who took the time to answer in this thread (or topic), with an attempt to help me, it's insanely nice that there are still many good people. Also, I will be grateful if you tell me how to finally disable these "castration" chips
The new photoshop lags for everyone. You can open the adobe forum in English and there are dozens of users who complain about the work of new versions of photoshop. Only apple users do not complain about lags. Even from the crowd, only one user with a core i9, two 3080 and 128GB of RAM said that he didn’t lag anything, but we kind of come up with everything. Although he never named a version of his photoshop. Perhaps he is sitting on PS 2017 at all. The latest version that I did not lag is Adobe.Photoshop v21.0.2. Everything newer has some kind of new engine that produces friezes.
For the sake of experiment, you can download the portable version of PS ~ 2018 and you yourself will be surprised how much the new versions are inferior to the old one in terms of performance in simple tasks.
