Phone kills SD cards?

So, such a disaster...
Yesterday, after rebooting the phone (Huawei u9000 Android 2.2.2), the device told me that the card was damaged or empty!!! The computer did not see it either ... The card was old and I decided that it really burned out - I bought a new one. She worked hard all day today. And now the phone is frozen again, I rebooted it and saw the same message !!! And the symptoms are the same! The map is unreadable! Through Easy Recovery, I launched data recovery - now I’ll pull out the files. Or maybe I'll raise the card after full formatting. The question is different! What is the reason??? Prior to that, the phone worked without any hint of such problems for about six months ... The phone can't "burn" cards! Maybe some kind of virus that does something with the file system? Is this possible at all? Tell me, good people!

Your phone must have hung while writing to the memory card, you prevented the data from being written normally with a reboot and got a broken card.

and you can not have damaged internal memory or RAM? Maybe because of this, plus some kind of microcrack (dropped?), Perhaps the memory card slot has loosened up - the contact is bad. Both cards can break and you're just out of luck. What brand is the card you bought? 1000 and 1 nuance in your situation. In addition to the cause, there may be consequences. Maybe the firmware has become buggy? Try, if the third time does not work out, reflash it. But if you have a broken memory inside the phone, you can get a brick ...
Of course, I caught up with fear, but I can definitely say - here it is ... this infection that tormented me - alas. But I hope your device will be fine =)

There was a bit of a similar jamb. The problem was solved by formatting the card directly from the phone menu. All attempts to format the card in Ubuntu 10.04, Win XP, 7 ended with the fact that the card in the phone was either not readable at all, or hung when writing files started.

I join those who wrote above - reflash, by the way, on Optimus One on the standard firmware, applications were loaded for a very long time at startup and there were checks, and so sometimes it showed that the memory card was damaged. Did the check using Linux. All problems went away when I upgraded to ICS. After starting, the check is 1-2 seconds, even sometimes it is not visible, and the software starts immediately, there has never been an error. And about resuscitation - if Windows doesn’t see it, you can try specialized software (I don’t know which Linuxoid I am), or if there is Linux, then see what dmesg outputs there, and then I think you can format it through gparted. And it is possible to restore the data through testdisk, as lucky.

You can solve the problem with the card using low level formatting, you can use the HP USB Disk Storage Format Tool for example. The phone is most likely being rebooted due to the fact that there is a failure when writing information to the card. Sounds like a firmware issue, try flashing it.

Sony Ericsson Xperia X10 mini pro - Android 2.1, the same problem, already two memory cards went to sleep. Yesterday he tried to burn the third one, the message "memory card settings" popped up, I immediately reviewed whether there were pictures, everything was in place, after two hours , which the phone was just lying on the table, I again reviewed the files were gone. I brought it in for repair, they said the card was burned, I came home and put it in my phone - everything is there. What kind of garbage is this ?? I was interested in repairing what could be the problem: it says you can try to flash it, but it does not guarantee anything.
