Pentesting. Is it accessible to ordinary mortals?
Good night everybody.
Over the past three years, the idea of studying vulnerabilities in various systems has been “swarming” in my head, naturally without any criminal background (It all started after watching the movie The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo ... without Craig who). Now it seems like there is a little time to master the above. I want to do this as a hobby, my education is far from being in the field of information security and the like. I read "with one eye" all sorts of articles about Linux Kali, BlackArch, Parrot security os ... this is all very interesting and entertaining, of course, but what to choose?
Therefore, the following questions arise...
1) Is it possible for a person who is far from information security to learn pentesting?
2) What useful / good literature would you recommend? (websites, books) (preferably in Russian)
3) Which axis to choose for studying?
Well, it seems like everything ...
Thank you!

You can learn anything and anyone, there would be a desire. Google is here to help, but if self-education is a difficult thing for you, then you can take special courses. Now many different companies offer such services. I would personally recommend Tom Hunter (google their site). Right now they don’t have courses on their schedule, but from personal experience I’ll say that the guys in the pentest are rummaging around, and if there’s anything to learn, then only from people with more experience
