Peepcode screencasts - to take or not to take?

I paid attention to screencasts from PeepCode on JavaScript and Ruby.
I am a front-end developer with two years of experience, I want to increase both the basic level of knowledge (by studying new libraries) and learn how to develop in Ruby (experience is a SaaS course from coursera).
Should I take a full subscription for a year? Money is not a pity, but the question is whether screencasts are really worth their money and time. Thank you.

I bought a backbone.js course. To be honest, I didn’t really like it: everything is somehow long and tedious and does not motivate to learn. When compared with courses from Tekpub (I took ASP.NET MVC), then the second ones in terms of the style of presentation of the material are definitely better.

I first downloaded the torrent, and then I still bought it. Because they are good for the most part.

The PlaybyPlay series is especially cool there. When well-known programmers (and not only programmers) solve some problem "live". It is interesting to see the masters at work.
