PCI board from MosChip (COM ports extension) in Windows 7 (64bit)
Hello!
For a week now I have been struggling with finding and installing a PCI board - COM port expander (Netmos MSC9845 from MosChip). On Windows XP, everything worked successfully and the system saw all 6 RS232 ports.
However, after installing Windows 7 (64bit), I haven't been able to install the driver for a week now. There is a version for Windows 7 (64bit) on the website of the MosChip manufacturer. I downloaded it and tried to run the installer. It ran successfully, even after the installation was completed, he wrote that the driver was installed successfully. However, in the device manager, the picture is the same - the PCI Serial Port is also questionable in the Other Device category.
Tried several options:
1. Installing manually through the search for devices on your computer - nothing is found in the folder with the driver.
2. I'm trying to manually select a driver for the device ("Let me pick from a list of device drivers...") - in the "Ports (COM & LPT)" list there is an option "MosChip Semiconductor Technology Ltd.". I choose, it is installed, but after that it writes that the error is in the INF section of the driver.
3. Installation through the native installer in the unpacked folder with the driver - did not work.
4. I installed the driver for the motherboard - the latest one - nothing has changed.
Are you using something similar? Any ideas on how to get this to work?
