PC won't turn on?
From the series "Your programmer". Relatives asked me to look into it. They knocked him out (of course, damn it, not by shutting down, but by holding the button). And now it won't turn on. Nothing happens at all, no lights come on, no fans spin. I think it's bp or mother. What do you think?

One diode on the motherboard should be lit when the power is connected, even if the computer is not running. If this is not observed - the case is in the BP.
In my opinion, the most correct thing is to start "from the stove":
1. Thoroughly check the power supply (voltage values plus or minus 5% of the norm at a load of at least 30% of the maximum, etc.) or replace it with a known good one.
2. Reset BIOS Setup (remove tablet 2032, close its contacts), remove all peripherals that can be disabled (except for the beeper), leave one memory module. Then, when you turn it on, listen to the sound code "No video adapter". If the video adapter is integrated and enabled by default, try connecting the display right away.
3. If the beep code sounds, connect the standard video adapter, and the display to it. If there is an image, connect peripherals, configure BIOS Setup, and then as usual.
4. If there is no beep code, try replacing the processor and memory module, you can also poke the module into different slots.
5. Further, for especially stubborn and in the presence of the diagnostic board "Port 80",
you can find at what step in the POST procedure the computer turns on. Well, then evaluate the possibility of repair at this step and get involved in a serious repair. Or send it all away and buy a new motherboard.
