All sorts of pincodes, passwords, etc. I understand that there is a lot of different software. That's why I'm asking about preferences.

Keepass is a fairly popular program designed specifically for storing passwords. Evernote can also be used.
I use lastpass to store passwords from sites.
For everything else keepass
I used Keepass for almost 3 years, after the database was blocked for an inexplicable reason with the message “wrong password” (stored in the notorious Dropbox) and I lost about a dozen very important data for me. I switched to Lastpass.
