Parsing and scraping.

On some sites they write literally the same thing, on others they write that scraping copies the entire site and Parsing pinpointly fishes out the necessary data, on other sites it’s the other way around.

Please explain the meaning of these terms.

Here's the case. I work for a company and I really need to increase the number of our clients before the end of the year.

At the moment, I do something like the following: I call competitors, find out their tariffs, find the "Our Partners / Clients" page on their website and offer them my services.

Or looking for potential customers from the news.

Literally so.
Such and such a company signed a contract for the construction of a railway there and there. And I have a storage base and equipment there. And accordingly I call "in the cold" and in the future I talk about possible cooperation.

I would like to understand the topic of automating the search for customers.
There are many ready-made solutions on the Hub and it will not be difficult to copy or read something, but I ran into the problem of defining terms, maybe someone knows the way to solve this problem, much more elegant than I imagine.
