By "coding on paper" do you mean notes?
This is normal, but having a computer handy is more efficient.
Buy at least an old netbook for 4tr.
I usually draw on paper the structure of requests, where everything goes and where it comes from ... a certain map for clarity. I didn’t have to write codes on paper, you can make a lot of mistakes. And then lose a lot of time looking for it.
It doesn't matter how weird it is - what matters is how effective it
is If you, with this approach, get it faster than the group average or better than you, then do it
I very often draw block diagrams, table structures, etc. on paper. And then I transfer all this into code, for me it’s more convenient
The question in feedback is to actually execute the code written on a piece of paper, right on the spot right away, it’s somewhat problematic (in the mind, of course, scrolling through everything is an option, but this is a bit different).
The presence of, especially fast, feedback for the brain is a rather pleasant fact. So it’s subjective - you can do this, but if you had the opportunity to immediately execute the written code, there would be a little more benefit
Very often I write pieces of the code of my android applications on sheets of paper and in a notepad. Plus, I draw diagrams of databases, queries, and screens of applications and games... The next day or after the weekend, I write and transfer the code to text. Because I try not to work at the computer on weekends :)
) machine time was very expensive...
