Output 5.1 sound through a 6-channel audio interface?

Hello,
Presonus Firebox audio interface is available. It has three independent stereo channels, which are defined in the system as three separate output devices. I have stumbled across the net more than once on information that such devices can be used to connect a 5.1 system. Searches for information on how to do this were unsuccessful. Maybe someone from those present knows how to connect this thing all the same?

In Linux, through ALSA, this is not easy, but very simple: alsa.opensrc.org/TwoCardsAsOne (there is a comment about synchronizing card clocks - in your case there is no problem, because all virtual cards use the same clock and the run will not accumulate ).
