Out of sync bookmarks in Chrome

I decided to put things in order in the bookmarks in chrome, I sat for an hour sorting out all the bookmarks, put everything on the shelves, deleted the excess.
Then, most likely, after launching Chrome on the iPad, which had bookmark synchronization enabled, the desktop turned out to be a complete mess - something came back, something was left from the new one, in general, all the work was done well, but now it’s not clear at all where what.

Is there any way to restore what the bookmarks looked like at a certain moment on the desktop?

The bookmark structure is not backed up. It was necessary to turn off the synchronization on the iPad and turn it on again.

I use xMarks for this and turn off the standard sync. There seemed to be no such problems with it and it can be synchronized with other browsers.
