Other areas of programming besides the web. What are the alternatives?

I work in the office, but I do not do what I studied (front-end and a little back-end), I work as a project manager. In general, I'm not complaining, it's also interesting, and such work in my small town is a rarity (and the conditions with the schedule are also convenient). I don’t think about changing my job yet, but in parallel with this, I still practice and learn everything related to the web at home. And here I have a question. What direction in programming can be considered other than the web? Which languages? What area? Everything but the web

If you live within the CIS and if you are not for development, but for making money, then there are only two areas left, these are: 1C and games for mobile devices.

Databases are a separate large area of knowledge, relevant incl. and for the web. It is difficult to find an area of programming where, to one degree or another, databases would not be needed.
Other areas are usually quite narrowly specialized. You can choose any direction you like.

Programming machine tools - such as printers. There are many different factories in Russia.
Some equipment can be assembled by yourself by ordering servo motors and other parts.
