OS for the server, which one to choose?

Which OS to choose for the server, so that there is desktop management and through the console, but console management is no different from the usual console version (debian, ubuntu)

Ubuntu. Easy, convenient, reliable. Preferably an LTS release.
For console, Debian or CentOS is better.

Windows :) Because only it has separate servers and separate workstations. There are no servers and workstations in Linux - you can make a workstation from any server and vice versa in a few commands.
If the hoster has a variant of bubunta - put bubunta - it just looks like it will come to you. If not, choose CentOS - it's true that you will have to suffer more for fucking :)
