Optimal Full HD 144 GHz or 2k 75 GHz?

I needed to purchase a new monitor. Actually, based on the current configuration, I can’t decide: take full hd at 144 GHz or “shush” and take 2k? Configuration: i5 8400, gtx 1050 ti, 16 op. Configuration by itself for an upgrade. I would like to hear your opinion gentlemen.

I would first throw out the i5 and 1050ti, and only then choose the pontovy monitor

For games, FullHD is probably better, because the higher the resolution, the lower the FPS.
For work and movies, 2k is better, and I don’t even know why at 144 hertz, the film at 60 hertz is sooooo smooth, it’s a pity that all the videos are 24-30 hertz, the TV sets are pulled out to 60 hertz and they do it smoothly, sometimes there are no honest 60 hertz on YouTube. ..
