Opencart 3, how to display "new" products on the main page?

I'm learning to pull html on opencart, I still don't know all the basic subtleties.
I'm redoing a copy of the default one.
I have already changed static to dynamic in the footer and account menu bars, but I don’t understand how to display the products. By type, blocks of 4-6 products "top sales", "novelties". Can I write in detail {{ this beauty here }}?
By type < a href=" {{ wishlist }}" > {{ text_wishlist }} </a > < /li > (without spaces), which variable should be displayed for these very products on the main page?
An example here is the bestsellers recommended for you.

Not banned by Google, but not yet. If there is a good guide - throw "who exactly did not get banned".
For some reason, the scripts are not displayed yet.
In the footer I write like this path. They don't show up in the inspector. If you transfer to the header, they are displayed, but empty. The script is there, the content is not.
< script src= "catalog / view/ javascript/ slick/ slick. min .js" type="text/javascript" > < / script>
No spaces
