Online authorization and data synchronization in WinForms/WPF?

It is necessary to make a simple client application.
Some data will be stored in a database on the server. Also, data for authorization will be stored.
The question arose, what is the easiest way to create all this?
Is Azure from MS suitable for this? Or are there cheaper analogues if you don't have your own server?

Azure from MS is fine, but there the cheapest cloud base option will cost $5.
You can take VPS from others, it's cheaper. And on it you can at least put mssql under Linux, at least mysql, postgres and others.
