One admin panel for all sites, has anyone done this?

I had a site for a long time on megagroups. The admin panel of the site was on the megagroup site. That is, in one admin panel, I could manage several sites. This is very convenient in my opinion. I created some module, it appeared on all sites. Has anyone implemented something like this? Is the database common to all sites or is a database created for each?

In any normal CMS there is such an option - it is called multisite.
The base is usually one for all sites.
You just have an additional entity - a site.
