On which version of Django do you write for yourself, and on which outsource, work, coercion?

Do you think that it is necessary to quietly abandon projects on versions older than 1.7?
Although, judging by the docks, 1.4 is still relevant, since it is LTS, long time support.

1. For myself and not only myself I try to write on the latest stable.
2. Depends on dependencies. Some batteries may not be upgraded yet. Here, as with python3.
3. Old interesting projects for myself, if possible, I try to translate into a new version. Aliens - depends on the customer.
4. What does it mean to abandon projects on versions older than 1.7? Refuse their support - no. Writing on them - so the choice of version depends on you, I doubt that the customer will ask for a project on a certain version.
