On some sites, clicking on a link takes you to a new page, and the old one remains in the background, how is it done?
For example, this is implemented in contact. Scroll through the news feed, click on the picture, it opens in a window, the url changes, but the leading page remains in the background. When the window is closed, the url changes again, but you can continue scrolling the page from the same place. What is this technology and how is it done?
