Nuxt asyncdata why do I see xhr requests on the front?

I can’t find the logic and understand this, it seems to be asyncData, a function that runs on the server... But for some reason, when I go to pages where asyncData is used, I see a request in networks, xhr using the method described in asyncData... Unless this request shouldn't be server side?
