Number of simultaneously working keys on the keyboard?

Hello,
I've been having this problem for a long time. When playing simulations and sports games (my example is Fifa), there is a need to execute 4 keys at the same time, which is impossible on many keyboards. I couldn't find a decent answer on the internet. Therefore, you have to keep the ancient keyboard and reconnect it for games. Attempts to buy pseudo-gaming keyboards from Logitech were unsuccessful in resolving the problem. I understand that there are real gaming keyboards that obviously don’t have such a problem, but it’s a pity to spend money on them to play football a couple of times a month.
As I understand it, the answer lies in the keyboard microcontroller. Without hardcore, this apparently can not be fixed. So the question is - how to determine "how many active keystrokes the keyboard will support" when buying? It is quite difficult to come to the store and check on the spot ...
I hope the question is clear,
Thanks in advance for the answers.

Find some thread program that shows the keys pressed, choose from the store with it.
At one time, the question was a burning one, they tested it in doom2 - there, pressing is important, and usually it was in all stores.
Plus, often the controller can see pressing only on its segments, from different segments of the keyboard you can press 4-5 buttons, and from one segment (keys next to each other, or along a horizontal / vertical line) only 1-2.
Also pay attention to letting go. There were claves, for example, you press the buttons 1-2-3-4-5 in sequence, it doesn’t hold more presses, but if you let go, let’s say 3, then she doesn’t notice this and thinks that all five are pressed.

I advise you to pay attention to mechanical keyboards, usually their users pay attention to this fact. A lot of information about them can be found at geekhack.org

The number of keys pressed depends not only on the controller, but also on the wiring diagram on the printed circuit board. It has already happened that it is more convenient to make them a two-dimensional matrix, here is an example of a scheme radionet.com.ru/shem/shem37.html or radionet.com.ru/shem/f/img/btc5060.gif
If you analyze it, it will become clear why simultaneous pressing of many keys is not possible, and their number depends on the combination, for example, I managed to find a combination of six.
By slightly modifying the circuit and the keyboard controller, it is possible to process at least all the keys at the same time. This slightly increases the price of the keyboard itself, but I'm not sure that manufacturers bother with this. You can try to contact radio amateurs, they invent gamepads themselves.
