Number of failed registrations
Hello. It so happened that we are currently improving the registration system, and noticed that the number of unsuccessful registrations, that is, registrations without pressing the activation link in the mail, reaches 35% of the total. We checked for spam, some other problems, etc., but found nothing. I wonder what percentage of unsuccessful registrations in general on the Internet? How are things with this on your sites?

tk:
1. the captcha is not successful, it reads badly, even with updates (it will be useful to see from what time it is usually entered)
2. after entering the captcha, the message “For security reasons, the password length cannot be less than 8 characters. The password must contain uppercase and lowercase letters, as well as numbers.”, rewrite the password and enter the captcha again =) it is more correct to tell the user about all the fields the first time.
Let me explain why I often do not confirm my registration - I DO NOT NEED it on many sites. I went there once in a while for once. Registered, took what you need and ... that's it. Why do I need to confirm registration? And if you can’t enter without confirmation, I just leave the site.
I think the main problem is the low interest in registering on the site (my IMHO).
It all depends on the specifics of the site, for example, if it is an online store, then ~ 90% of successful registrations (there are people who changed their minds or did not complete the registration procedure) plus orders without registration. With ordinary sites, it happens in different ways, again, the point is what can be done without registration. And here you should think about the need to activate your account.
