Note organization like Evernote, but NOT Evernote. Maybe something under Dropbox?

What are the cloud-based Evernote alternatives? Tired of its stubborn preservation of HTML markup along with the text copied from the browser. I copy plain text from the site - it copies it along with the table cell and either breaks my formatting or makes editing difficult.

a good chelohabr somniator suggested that you can paste with Ctrl + Shift + V, but I think that the fail still takes place, and the evernot is not so good. For a second: it takes 129 MB, I use only the insert and the insert is wretched.

Perhaps there is a cross-platform application somewhere without a sync, but which saves the data to a specific location so that I can store the file (s) in the dropbox and thus sync?

All that is required of an evernote killer is to insert HTML (smartly), search, categorize or tag, it is desirable to be cross-platform and set the location of the database / files on disk.

PS. If it doesn't already exist, someone write it :) It's so easy in the era of dropbox to get evernot right.

one note. True, it is larger than Evernote and is not available under Linux.
But otherwise, this is a very good notepad, the files of which you can synchronize yourself.

Zim + Dropbox. Zim is a cross-platform wiki notepad with a bunch of bells and whistles and its own file "database" that works great.
